Privacy Policy
Screen Loupe collects no data.
- Screen Recording. The app asks for Screen Recording access so it can show the part of the screen inside its Capture Area. The captured image is shown in the app’s own window and never leaves your Mac.
- No network. The app sends nothing anywhere: no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reports, no account. The only links it opens, in your browser, are the guide on this website and the latest release on GitHub, when you choose them in the Help menu.
- What stays on your Mac. Your settings, the Color Meter’s recent and favourite colours, the reference images you add to the project and the background image you choose for the Screenshot studio are kept on your Mac, in the app’s own sandbox container. Screenshots are saved only where you choose. Recent captures are kept in that container too, until you delete them or newer ones push them out.
- Sandboxed. The app runs in the macOS App Sandbox with no network access and no access to your files beyond the ones you pick in an open or save dialog, drop on the app or paste into it. You can check this yourself:
codesign -d --entitlements - /Applications/ScreenLoupe.app.
- Third parties. The app contains no third-party code or services.
